VinAgora Prestige: A Tasting of Award-Winning Wines at Winehub

The VinAgora International Wine Competition is one of the region’s most respected professional contests and the only one in Hungary that is a member of VINOFED, the global association representing the strictest wine competitions. This exceptional standard is reflected in its results. Now you have the chance to taste these highly rated, award-winning wines all in one place.

An Evening Where Every Wine Is Awarded

VinAgora Prestige is not an ordinary tasting but a curated selection of hundreds of wines, exclusively featuring medal winners that have proven themselves before an international professional jury.

The lineup spans the full spectrum of white, red and rosé wines, as well as sparkling wines. From classic varieties to international favourites, a wide range of styles and characters will be available to taste. Hungarian and international entries together create a diverse and exciting overview of today’s wine world.

In Focus: Riesling and Merlot

In the 2026 competition’s Variety Focus program, Riesling and Merlot take centre stage. At the Prestige tasting, these two varieties will be presented through an especially strong selection, offering a unique opportunity to explore their stylistic diversity side by side.

The VinAgora Prestige walk-around tasting will also introduce the competition’s new recognition, the Commended award. This distinction is given to wines that reach the silver medal score threshold but miss out on a medal due to strict awarding limits, often by just a fraction of a point. With the introduction of the Commended category, these outstanding wines receive the recognition they deserve and will also be available for tasting.

Meet the Winemakers

VinAgora Prestige is not only about the wines but also about the people behind them. In most cases, the winemakers themselves will be present, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, engage in conversation and hear the story behind the wine in your glass firsthand.

The event will take place at the Winehub Wine Center, providing a fitting setting for an evening where there is no need to choose between good and better, because only the best are on offer.

The official results of the competition will be announced on May 12. It is worth following VinAgora’s channels, as this is when the wineries featured at the event will be revealed.
